if you crack open the case, visually you should be able to see alot of the problems. If i synchro spring is broken, it might have broken off or it might not hold that particular gear in. You should be able to see a good amount of the teeth on the synchros and such. If your going to pay...

O yea, you probably have to buy the synchro, spring, and gear sleeve set.

if your tranny is popping out of gear its probably a synchro spring.

This might seem very elementary but how can you tell if an ecu is chipped? I have a OBD1 ls ecu, code is 37820-P75-A51. I thought it was stock, until i opened it up and it has a sticky label on the external rom chip that reads 274TB0.85K Any ideas? TIA, josh
