I swapped a b18c jdm in my civic but i put an aftermarket bbk single stage intake manifold on the motor im thinkin of gettin a p72 but im not sure that it would help due to the fact that the aftermarket intake manifold may not have secondary butterflies whicha p72 would initiate at 5800 rpm...

I have a swapped b18c assuming its jdm because i do not beleive usdm makes a motor stamped "b18c" i have it in 2000 SI but it has a cherry red valve cover but instead of having a honda symbol below the dohc vtec label it just reads honda motors inc.

I ahve a 2000SiR witha b18c engine i just bought this car and the vtec isnt working. My speedo currently doesnt work and if its not reading the speed vtec wouldnt kick in? im just wondering if thats the problem or if it could be something else.
I just bought a 2000 civic SiR and it has a B18c JDM engine in it im pretty sure, the only thing is i cant hear the scream of the VTEC like in some other cars, is this a problem if so is it fixable , or if its just normal behavior.
