So I changed my axle last night. All fine and dandy, but I cant seem to get the ball joint pressed back into the lca! I tried lowering the car onto wood blocks, dropping it on wood blocks, hitting with a hammer, prying with an oversized pickle fork, etc. I cant get it to seat down nicely enough...
So I am trying to diagnose a problem with my 88 crx HF. When the engine is cold it will never start on the first try, but will always catch on the second try consistantly.
Car will crank and spin with turning the key always.
If I turn the key for 2 seconds, wait 1 then turn it again it fires...
So im looking for cheap 14" or 15" 4 x 100 pattern wheels for my crx (preferably with useable tires in a close size). that means your 400$ set of slip streams is not what im interested in. lights a plus, pretty/ugly i dont really care. This is gonna be installed on my crx HF daily driver with SI...
so after talking to a retailer who sells hawk pads ive learned the HF pads are 4" wide by 1 3/4 tall, and the SI brakes are 5" long by 2" tall.
according to the buybrakes.com website brembo has listed the 88-89 SI/DX as the same rotor, but the 90-91 DX/SI as different part numbers. HF the same...
