i only get to 5 and it cuts off

yea but even when i drive it and floor the throttle, it shift at 5 only before it would do it right at the redline

Hi there guys, i have a 1994 accord EX automatic and i'm having a weird probs 1. My engine cuts off at 5000 RPM on Neutral, and on D4 any ideas what causes this? thanks Also, around what RPM range is the Vtec supposed to kick in? Thanks again
