Sometime this week im going to be starting on building my junkyard turbo setup. I've been collecting parts as I go for this. Ive done lots of fabrication work from building a mini chopper, retarded go carts and misc items. Ill be making myself a turbo manifold and charge piping. Im curious on...
To have any honda run 10.9 in the quarter would take alot of time, money and tuning. Not just engine mods will get you there but suspension mods would have to be made to get the launch required. Slicks would be needed because traction would be an issue. Theres alot of things to go with a 10.9...
Buy yourself a rebuilt or low milage D16 block and head then swap all your existing parts on to the motor good engine. Such as tranny, distributer, all the sensor, intake, alternator, pullies, ect. Once doen throw it and and fire it up.
Its common for the fuel pump relays to go on 4th gen civics. Ive had issues a couple of times with mine, once in the middle of rush hour traffic when stopped at a light. I just gave the left panel under the dash a good smack a few times until eventually I could hear the fuel pump prime.
Yeah that would work perfect. Is there any good 2-stage boost controllers out there that you know of?
You gotta hate those cement walls... Ive been lucky, havent had ant meetings with one yet haha. Thats shitty though Blanco, Is it totaled? A few of my buddies have hit some stuff and wrecked...
Yeah he has a considerable amount more, I only said what I "saw" and yes this is a track car. I watched that car take off, looked like it had quite a bit of balls.
Yes, I want to build more of a race engine. But something still streetable. This wont be my daily driver more of a weekend warrior...
The guy I know is running a CRV block with some v-tec head. Ignition upgrades, intake manifold, some really wired looking cold air, Honda s200 tuner is what I saw. When I saw the car he had his lap top sitting on the passenger seat. Im guessing hes a pretty serious builder.
Im looking to make...
Im not really looking for really high revs. Ive talked to a guy with a 300hp n/a, hb civic. readline at 10k. He told me he doesnt really make power until 6 - 6.5k. I would like to be making power in a lower rpm range around 4 - 4.5k and only reving to 7.5 - 8k. I would like to still have a...
Ive been looking around for a way to get good exhaust flow without being loud. I didnt find much but an alternative called a VES (Virtual Exhaust System). It would still be loud when in boost but quiet when not. Read the description of it, seems pretty neat.
heres the site... ATP TURBO - The...
If you were to build your engine for a turbo you wouldnt be making any more power then you already have stock if your not going to put on the turbo. Just do some NA upgrades like a header, cold air, better flowing intake and a good exhaust system. Save your $$ until your ready to turbo your...
thanks for the info dtob. Ive done plently of reading but theres never been any comparisons between engines to build. Such as which can make the revs, stronger blocks, better heads ect..
To start I'd like to say hello to everyone here on Hondaswap.. Well because im a newby here lol. Ive been into doing build ups for quite sometime now, mostly on V8's. Latley the import scene has caught my attention, just something new and more challenging to learn. I picked a Honda mainly...
