well for the timing....idk my friend did it...i watched him...he lined the head and block to top dead center...put the timing belt on..then cranked the engine...maybe he did it wrong??...could you explain how you would do it

ive lost all hope =( ok...replaced timing belt..did the timing...replaced the tps sensor with a brand new one...and just installed a brand new distributor...STILL BACKFIRING AND HESISTATING..HELP!!

well..i redid the timing and my car is still backfiring!!!!!!distributor??

update brought the car to mechanic today...he said it the timing was off by alot...he suggested i redue the timing...now im not sure what timeing belt to get..can anyone help me out??

? accually my mechanic did the job, so im not sure if he reset the ecu..ill reset the ecu before i bring the car to the shop tmmrow

yes i did ajust my tps to .5 when closed and 4.5 when open...all i use 93 octane in my car

no i did not check the timing..that is my next step...but say if i do check the timing and it is fine...then what??

ok guys k guys, replaced my tps sensor today with a brand new one...car still throws code 7 which is tps sensor....idk what the deal is...and my car is still backfiring like popcorn when i accelerate....advice on why my tps code is still showing in check engine light and backfiring issue??

can anyone give me some instuctions for removling my TPS and installing my new one that i just bought...I can see i just have to take out the two screws holding in the tps and just screw the new one on.. but im wondering if there is something else that i have to do... My Car Info if needed ...

in the same car before the swap he had a d16 non vtec with a shitty intake and exhaust and a fpr and an ls fuel rail and injctors... that it. so low 15's would be badddd lol

he said that if he hits low 15''s he will be embarressed and sell the car. lol. and obviously the shorter geared tranny is gonna be perfect for the car considering that b20's dont rev high. some1 is clearly missinformed

he is usin an si tranny, he also has hasport solid motor mounts, avid light weight shift linkage, skunk2 short throw and shifter, and energy suspension shifter bushings. the p75 ecu was tuned by spoon prior to being put in th car, had to go through a long process online about what was done to...

anybody else have any thoughts on wha the car might do as far as a quarter mile time or anything???
