yeah... i thought i heard something like that somewhere. I replaced a all the bushing in my del sol and its been about a year now. How long do you think poly bushings will last?
c-speedracing.com up in Washington state has (well had... its now sold) a 12 sec all motor daily driver. it was a fully built ls/vtec in a dc integra... pretty impressive stuff...
"cut the coils two cut and the tension is all gone in under 2 mins "-hcivic.com.
thats right... Cut coils and heat the bitch and loose your suspension in 2 minutes. Probably not the best route for "up grading" your suspension.
average install time of 3hrs x $50 an hour=150! 150 sounds reasonable if you have to pay someone else to do it... but i wouldn't pay any more than 150. best bet would be to pay someone such as a friend who knows what hes doing to put in the springs... or you could just drive to Tyler, Texas...
i did poly bushings all around on my sol by myself... using a hydrolic press rented from a rental place. They all pressed out really easy, same for pressing the new ones back in. just make sure that you have sockets big enough to put on the outside of the LCAs.
ive had the poly bushings in...
i would lose the front sway and swap in an integra rear sway bar + LCAs. Thats what i did... probably best bang for the buck, it drives really nuetral around corners. If you put on the ITR sway bar then i would suggest leaving the front stock sway bar on.
ive been reading some stuff on the SMC Dual as a form of fuel management anyone know anything about this thing or has actually used it?? any info would be great.
My lil brother made a lip for his 88 hatch from a lip off of a 94 Acura legend. He took the lip, flipped it upside down and then screwed it in, bottom up. It actually looks really good and OEM.
i'm not exactly sure how it fucks up synchros but i think it has something to do with putting too much presure on the shift linkage, especially when the angle is modified by the short shifter.
ever notice how your shifter feels more notchy with a short shifter?
if the del sol shifter is shorter...
ive been searching and haven't been able to find anything on this topic... ive gota 93 del sol with a blown d15. i have a d16a6 laying around that i could put in temporarly, will a p28 work? given that i convert to obd1. i was thinking about just swaping intake manifolds.
i'm 99% sure the swaybar from a 94+ integra will not fit... if you want a cheap and quick fix just go to a junkyard and pull one off of a crx SI, and upgrade later if you want.
do you still have the old bearings and remember which journal they came from? if you do then just order the same color for each rod journal and crank journal. *reminder tip* despite the different codes (because you might have duplicate colors for different codes) for example... yellow b2 will...
my personal experience, all bars do the same thing, unless you get a REALLY, REALLY crappy strut brace resembling a toothpick, you should be fine. The Mugen, benen, spoon and skunk LOOK really nice though...
if you are looking at a 1.5 drop or even a 2" drop and just using it for daily driving, regular springs should be fine, no use in droping in Tiens. and as far as rolling the fender... its all about getting the proper off-set for the wheels... i run LS 15" webs with 2" drop, tokico shocks and its...
