92 integra build

i have a 1992 acura integra ls and im looking to swap the engine out with something better. It obviously has a b18a1 (auto tranny) but i cant decide whats the best route to go(vtec nonVtec,B.. K series etc) to get most the most power for my buck. would be a daily driver and the odd track time for fun. looking to spend no more than $3-5g's.. over 240WHP would be cool too. Im slowly learning more about honda/acura and the import world. any help and or suggestions would be great!

convert it to manual and put a turbo on it

yeah, that's pretty much your ownly option for that power goal and that budget

stay with the b18a1 and replace the internals for it to handle the turbo.. ?

You don't really even need to upgrade internals if your engine is healthy for 240whp... just careful tuning.

my engines not healthy at all... i believe i bent some valves and damaged the head apparently.. shes off the road, should of clarified that first

what should i look into, it seems to be that everyone goes with a b17 from gsr

Cheapest route would probably be to do a head swap for ls/vtec, but that assumes your bottom end is healthy too.

finding a b17 will be difficult.

I'd probably source another b18a... or if its not damaged, just rebuild what you have and then do an all motor build as:

yah it was a very fun car, thats why i wanna use it as a "project" to learn more since ive always been into honda, but faster is always better and fun
