i am super new here but i have a 97 ex with a b16a2 swap
my only problem is that we used the stock harness and stock 97ex ecu
so my question is..............What is the very best ecu/ecu adapter i can get ?
This car is a daily driver no crazy stuff, just exhaust ,intake.
I would like the vtec to come on a little sooner though!

p30 ecu or p28 im surprised you car isn't throwing codes. Also didn't you rewire your injectors and reping the distributor? Holy shit are you pushing your car.

:withstupid:

go study some more..... F

That's FUNNY. Good luck plugging OBD1 ECUs into an OBD2 harness.

P28 = 92-95 OBD1 D16Z SOHC VTEC
P30 = 92-95 OBD1 B16A DOHC VTEC

Unless he converted to OBD1...

You could try a P2T ECU. I believe that's the correct ECU for the OBD2 99-00 B16A2.

the P2T is a "OBD2b" ecu. i know the connections looks very similar but will they actually fit?

OR

he can use a OBD2 P30 out of a 96-97 DelSol Vtec.

either way you're gonna have to wire the knock sensor into the ecu.

That's what I thought... I'm fuzzy on when the 2a and 2b OBD change was for the Civic. It's not the same as the Integra. I think 99-00 Civic is OBD2b, while the 00-01 Integras are OBD2b. The 99 Integra is straight OBD2... I think.

Hello! look at his post it says b16a2 it could be obd1.

p28 ecu will fit with teh adapter harness and a JDM p30 will fit. So what the dealy.

I guess he could... but he still hasn't responded yet, so there's no more information as to what setup he's running.
