Bolting h22 to 3rd gen prelude 5spd

I have a 91 lude with a nearly blown b21a1 and 5spd. I have been searching the web for h22a/5spd combo...but the "complete swap" kit is about 2x the cost of just an h22.....I have seen posts where the h22 was installed into the 3rd gen prelude...... can I do that and keep my exisiting 5spd or do I need the 5spd from the 4th gen prelude? . I am prepared to do some fab/cut work in the left fender if need be.

I don't think they'll line up without serious modifications. You could always use an H23 or F22 tranny, since they will bolt up, and cost less money.

yeah, that tranny wont really work on the h22, your gonna have to go with an h-series tranny or just get another b21/b20a

H or F series tranny......same bolt pattern, different performance levels.
