Civic standard vs open air filter

Do you guys think that civics are better with standard air filter or with open air filters ? I will post a few pics of my air filter to tell me what u think about it .

Better for what? Power? Fuel economy? Either way, changing just the air filter on a Civic isn't going to do much of anything...this is a Civic that we're talking about here...

Its a B16A2 engine am asking these becouse when i bought the car it was with an open filter i removed it and installed the original one and it seemed to pick better than before but i miss the sound of the open filter.
