I've still been having the same problems, 1400-1500 rpm bogging so I checked ignition timing, it's dead-on now. Could it be cam timing that's causing the bogging?
Ignition is timed in relation to the engine's rotation, therefore, if you say that your "ignition timing" is dead on, then your "cam timing" would also have to be dead on. One is a condition of the other. And no, if your timing is off it will probably run like crap through the entire RPM range.
