Crx Tranny Swap

What other honda trannsmissions will fit a 91 Honda CRX DX auto? I need to know because I'm about to buy one for $700 and the trannys gone bad on it .

Any 88-91 Civic or CRX tranny will fit, Si has a bigger Final Drive and will be better for acceleration.

I don't think the Si came in an automatic.

You might want to try and just pull a transmission from any other automatic 88-91 Civic.

Oh yo, one more thing. What would give me better performance, a CRX tranny or the Civic?

I'm pretty sure that the crx and civic tranny's are the exact same no either of them would be "better" that the other.

I don't know the ratios for the automatics... if I remember, I'll post up the values from both my Helms manuals (88 Civic, 89 CRX) when I get home tonight.
