d16y8 in 88 crx how can i wire to make vtech work

i have a 88 crx hf and i just installed a d16y8 but itwasnt working correctly now im runing the old distributor from the old zc single cam and im using the old ecu now i also had to install the old intake manifold what would i need to make it work for more power what ecu and disributor and intake should i use .... i want the vtech connected also any advice ??? im kinda new to working on hondas
