I am thinking of swapping the Y8 engine into an LX I am concerned about wiring the computer for the y8 into the car I understand from another post that Vtec control and IAC are concerns. Is it easiest to get the wiring harness from the EX as well? Any information would be helpful. Are there any how-to guides out there?

yes , If you are swapping the whole engine then yes get the ex wiring harness, becasue it will have the vtec solenoid, vtec oil pressure, and knock sensor, already included in the harness and it will have the right IAC connector. This is not just a head swap, so in your case i would definitly get the wire harness. It will be alot easier for you!
