So a couple weeks ago I was on my way south in a rental car.
I brought my own EZ Pass with me on the trip.
I ended up using the Express Lanes around the DC area. I may have held up my EZ pass a little too late to be recorded while passing under the scanning area. It's been almost 3 weeks and the charge has still not appeared on my EZ Pass account.
A little more meat to the story. OL insisted I use the express lanes for a toll of $4.25. (In case no one knows the 95/495 DC area, the toll is variable depending on the traffic.) It ended up being no traffic and 495 or 95 was moving just as fast as the express lanes. OL held up the EZ Pass when we got on to the express, but then she put it down by the shifter as we were going under the reader. I grabbed it and threw it up on the dashboard but not sure if it was in time. Wasn't happy about the $4.25 but it was cheaper than listening to the mouth. Gonna be pissed if I catch a sweet $25+ fine on top.
Should I expect something eventually from Hertz?
Do they sell a passenger muzzle for road trips?
