Guage Pod(a-pillar) Installation

I just got a dual guage pod for my prelude and I'm wondering if anybody knows from experience if i need to go by the directions and drill holes or if I can just use some strong double-sided tape, to mount my guage pod.

I drilled mine and wished I hadnt, go with some 3M super double sided tape. thatll do.

I drilled mine, living in So Cal the sun just baked the apiller till the tape let go.
