Help me ID this motor (SR20 but what kind)

Im trying to figure out why this engine looks like a sr20 de-t but is not turbo'd...
probably just some shit heads mistake while swapping that its no turbo...
and with the stock KA intake tube and all... wtf is up with it???

help..

it honestly looks like your every day ka24 found in a 240sx, not even a sr20

yeah but SR20DE's dont have the bulge in the front of the valve cover, this is why i am confused as to why the turbo is not present

edit... my bad .. some sr20's in fwd config have no bulge while the rwd have bulge... but still why no turbo... why the hell would someone buy one without a turbo and go through all the trouble to swap it?? wtf!

dont 200sx use a sr20 motor?

earlier sr20dxx did not, later ones did when nissan introduced variable valve timing.

i just googled the ka24de and the oil fill cap is on the right side of the cam cover

and on SR motors cam cover, its on the other side.

maybe i should hit up the nico on this one lol
