Proper ECU? 94 ex motor into 95 lx car
Hey all...Happy Holidays...back in the summer i posted about my wifes car , a dead 95 LX 2.2..
With the help of the board i found a 94 2.2v-tec from a 94 ex that was a 5 speed..
Our car is an automatic...
so far i am under the impression that:
1) I can retain the non vtec harness and just wire the v tec to the ecu...
2.) all i need to change is the ECU ..need one from an automatic EX
The motor and tranny are already in the car , that all went smoothly,
my factory 95 non vtec auto ECU part # s POJ L50
i did pick up a ECU today from an auto EX(94) also grabbed the AT control unit that matches, not sure if i should swap this as well or leave my 95 unit in there..
there were two models that i saw in the yard today..has me a little boggled
there was the one i grabbed from a 94auto EX part # POH L50
I looked at a second auto EX a (95) its computer was ended in L51, funny thing is this car was definately a stock auto, and there was no AT control unit, or a harness...looked very original...also the conectors on the engine harness under the hood were orange....where the main engine harness conects to the firewall harness..
I hope i grabbed the correct ECU!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Chris
