i have a d15b8 with d16y8 vtec head ..help!!>?

im having some problems with my mini me build.i have a d15b8 block with a d16y8 head and intake throttle body..the vtec is there but not hooked up..car turns over and runs but idles high and when you put it into gear a take off its sluggish and dosent want to go and wants to cut off ..is my timing still off or is the d16y8 head not gonna work??????HELP me please with anything that could help.still using the d15b8 wiring harness also so idk if that has anything to do with it or not..

Tape up the holes that are circled in the pic, this will fix the high idle... The sluggish part sounds like its out of time...

D15 block a un réducteur de presion d huile que tu doit enlever pour adapter avec une tete vtec, retiré avec vise a bois que tu vise dedant et tiré avec des pince. Si non le cam va manquer de presion d huile une foi le vtec on.

Conseil d installer des bearing de crank et rod ACL race series et ne pas changer de piston il va avoir deja plus de compression et va avoir un meilleur torque que le D16Y8 et torque les boulons avec spec du Y8.
