My car feels noticably weaker in the midrange (2000-5500) after I have been driving for 20 minutes plus. I have no issues before that, and am getting no fluctuations in the temperature gauge. Under normal driving (1/2 throttle) it feels less torquy, and when I wind it out, the car still feels sluggish untill normal power kicks in when I exceed 6000 RPM's.

Any ideas what it could be?

i would check the dizzy cap and roter and if you have a fuel pressure gauge i would check that too fuel pump could be getting week i had ine do that shit one time

I will check thoes things out. It just baffles me that this only happens when I have been driving it for a while.

well i have seel weird shit working at Autozone (not anymore thank god) but chevy ign. modules are bad about that shit with heat and i have personaly had a fuel pump go week on me and kinda same shit

Is there any way to determine if the dist. is bad?

yea, the car doesn't run

20 minutes of driving = motor getting to normal temp
intake temps heating up, etc

pull a compression test when cold, then drive for 30 minutes and pull another compression test...

The motor was compression tested across the board at hmotorsonline where i got it. I have only put 1500 miles on it since the swap, and have taken it pretty easy. I have the numbers back at my parent's house, but I know that it was perfect. Besides, if it was the compression that was bad, wouldn't I be loosing power up top? It feels fine up top, but is just very peaky. It feels weak in the midrange. The acceleration isn't smooth at all....
