Manual Trans fluid

I am about to install a ob1 gsr. I would like to drain the trans fluid and replace it with new fluid. I was told in my sohc to use castrol gtx. Would I use this in the gsr trans as well?

Also try Gm synchromesh, its great for older trannies that have seen better days.

I think I'm going to go with the honda MTF. Cant go wrong with using honda fluid in honda transmissions. Thanks for the input guys! I appreciate your help.

I use Pennzoil Synchromesh Fluid. That and occasionally some Lucas if something seems off.

you only need to use Synchromesh fluid if you're getting minor grinds.. if the tranny is fine, i see no reason to spend $11 a quart on synchromesh

Maybe the syncromesh would help prevent having grinds in the first place.

Regular Honda MTF has sychromesh/friction additives already.
