no, not obilvion... it turns into a "less smog" byproduct.

That builds up until it clogs something.

You can not destroy matter, only change it's form. Either way we are taking shit that was deep int he groundand making it integrate into the air - And it's not working.

No. Steve is wrong.

If you knew any chemistry, you'd know that by changing the composition of of a material, you can completely change the way it interacts with other chemicals. Lets look at carbon monoxide. CO. A very poisonous gas that can kill you pretty easily. Using a catylist, it is quite simple to change CO into CO2, a non poisonous gas that is also a natural byproduct of repiration.

By changing the nitrous oxides, and other poisons that are created by burning fossil fuels, we can make them completely harmless.

In fact: most dangerous "polutants" are made up of the same thing as you and me; Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Sulfer. Simply because something contains these elements does not make it a poison, how the atoms are arranged completely changes how they interact with our environdment and whether or not they are a polutant.

Sounds like a recent chemistry 101 student. LOL. It doesn't change the fact that we are overloading the atmosphere with CO2 and other gases that wouldn't have otherwise been there. I'm no hippie, but I'm not down with polluting the air, nor wasting gas if there is another way. This rant goes rigtht up there with my SUV hatred. It's just wasteful. /rant.
BTW, how does this catalyst concrete give hope to California? It isn't going to change our emissions laws any if it were used. If I were in charge, I'd just plant a million more trees, that will consume a lot of the CO2 right there, and put the o2 back in the air, on top of making things look nicer.

Yeah right, cali is "automotively speaking" going to hell in a handbasket.. pretty soon you guys are going to be ticketed for having motors in your cars. "That thing burnin' gas, boy?!?!??"

Its sad, I love california..

plant some trees and kill the SUVs, im with you. trees work and look nice and SUVs suck and most of the people who drive them shouldnt have a license at all.

I know what you mean...i woulda been down one prelude if it werent for my insanely big brakes and the fact that the guy behind me swerved. Fuckin 16 year old in an Infiniti SUV pulls out infront of me, and then shoots me the bird for almost knocking her SUV into next week. I wish i had a RWD at moments like that. See someone power brake a 180 will make your heart skip a beat.

Thanks Mike :)

I'm with you guys - living underground is SO efficient and downright fuckin cool. I'm looking at houses now and while I have seen some nice ones, They are all still just crates with windows and ugly colors. Plus, underground you can also find yourself in a HUGE home with no footprint whatsoever.

I'm down with that.
