NEED ADVISE ASAP

I need help ASAP. I'm about to cop a hydro GSR tranny from this kid in a couple of hours, but I know they have the same code as the ls. My friend told me they are smaller than LS's. What other visual things can I look at to make sure.

from what i understand on the tranny where the axles go look thur it and you can see right thur it if there is a bar there then it is a ls tranny if there is no bar then there it is an lsd tranny

hydro Gsr tranny doesn't necessarily have an lsd, it can also be an open diff.

that is true but i can't think of anything else for him to look at he can't tell the gearing in it because he wants to know how he can tell so that is how i knew when i got my tranny

far as I know, the only usdm acura tranny with an lsd is the type r, only jdm gsr's had lsd's, and not all of them, i believe.
