RETIRED
gonna watch it now.. on movie 2 for the day. pissedoffreview to follow :)

just finished. good flick. lots of sick fighting sceenes. most of them didn't look fake either- like, those rope twirls and flying around house of flying dagger BS...

I like that movie because instead of a lot of gay-ass fancy shit, he just goes in with one hit with his elbow to the dome. Take that bitches. But yeah those guys are crazy. They are all a stunt team.

movie kicks ass, ive had it for a few months

thi fighting is top notch, the whole movies ode to fame is there are NO special effects. no speeding up of camera, no strings, no safety nets, no cg, nothing.

thats why it all looked so real B ;)

i bought it the day it came out. i was throughly impressed with the fight scenes, and so has everyone that i have let watch it.

i guess im just a hong kong fanatic. i didnt really like the movie at all. the fighting was pretty awesome, but they keep doing the same thing and doing slow mos with replays.

overrall, an okay movie, but still prefer hong kong flicks.

lol the story really blows ass, it's a film to watch purely for the fight scenes, but I don't like the whole "I'll hit you with my flying knees so it looks like i hit you with my crotch " style.

just a note. for those who think hong kong movies are "fake." they are to an extint. Yeah most of that flying aerobatic shit is fake with ropes, but the moves and speed of those kicks and punches are 100% real. Sometimes those flips and aero-moves are real too.

For "real" marital art films:

Jackie Chan > EVERYTHING ELSE

Note: Guys like Jet Li and Bruce Lee are so fucking fast, they have to slow down for the cameras to catch them so it doesnt look weird in regular frame rates.

That movie PWNS. I love it.

FYI, Drunk Master is NOT NEW. It is an old movie that was re-released. I guess you havent seen much of his movies. Let me new a few of my personal favorites:

Rumble In The Bronx
Thunderbolt (VR4 vs GTR)
Super Cop
Twin Dragons

The story maybe somewhat lame, but just friggin look at the fighting. Sure, its rehearsed but its fucking fast and smooth. No of that slow mo Matrix shit. Even the white guys got some bad ass moves.

there are 2 drunken master movies featuring jackie chan
1 from like the 70's and the new one.

the new one was rereleased in america a couple years ago and was made a few years before that, but its still THE NEW ONE
