ok so the reason i did not get an egt sensor just yet is because of the fact that i heard so many theroies and ideas about where and how to place it and what not.

im not too hip on egt, so basically, all it is is a sensor and a guage? place the sensor here ---> <-----
hook up the guage, and you are good to go?
