Well, his mind kinda died when he went off the deep end. But Pink Floyd is the groundbreaker and Syd's ideas inspired a generation of bands. You can't find a band who doesn't list Pink Floyd as an inspiration.

I was just going to post this...what an amazing talent to leave this world at 60.

Well, his talent really left the world in the 70s. Since then I think he's sat in a chair and stared at the wall.
