yeah i remember watching this happen live on TV
 
Yeah I remember it too. I was in 4th grade art class.

I think many many schools were all tuned in to it live because Christa Mcauliffe had won that contest to be the first teacher in space. It's definitely one of those "where were you when" moments for a lot of people.
 
i was in 1st grade when it happened. they gathered us into the library to watch it on tv. we had no clue why it was important. i'm still glad i "saw" it. it's one of those things you always remember.

i think it was 1st grade. at catholic school.

the nuns tried lying to us after it blew up saying it was an effect or some crap. lol
