Tranny Conversion

i know it would probably be easier just to buy a 5-Speed. but, what parts and how hard would it be to convert an 89 Civic DX to a manual.

Here's what you need to turn your car into a 5spd:

Anyway, just go to a junkyard(u-pull-it) and find a good 4th gen. You need the tranny, tranny mounts, shift linkage, shifter, clutch cable, and pedal assembly. Oh, and ECU also.

Reservoir
clutch piping and hose for the fluid to the slave cylinder
