Ok heres the deal. Im running a h22 in a civic hb i bought a spoon n1 exhaust and im goin to get it installed along with a header back stright pipe. Ive been told by some to go with 2 1/2 and 2 1/4 by others. A friend i had put on a 2 1/2 and says he felt like he lost power. But other reliable sources say that i should go 2 1/2. What do u guys think?

2.5" is probably a bit too big. Go with a 2.25" or even a 60mm and that should work best for you.

I would definitely do a 2.5". I am running that size with a 1.8 engine. I think if you did much of anything to that engine(cams, higher comp., etc) 2.25" would be a restriction.

Agreed... I am running straight 2 1/2 all the way back with my b16 and I have no problems at all... same thing with my old d16. And as far as his 2.5 inch comment about being to big and 60mm probably being okay... WTF?? 60mm = 2.36 inches... I really dont think 3.5mm will make any difference.
