What will happen if we used the wrong spark plug?

Hi guys, i brought the wrong NGK Iridium spark plug model for my Honda civic EK SiR B-series model.

Will i damage the engine or cause any problems to it?
After i had changed, i kinda smell some sort of buring smell inside my car.

I'm quite worried is it the cause of wrong model of spark plug i brought?

I brought ZFR6FIX-11 instead of BKR6E-N-11..

yes you can mess things up. i strongly suggest that you go and get the right plugs for your car... the thing is that the plug may be too long or too short, causing bad things to be happening.

I guess i got to buy another set of spark plug asap.

most likely the plugs aren't much different in size. The main differnce will be the heat/thermal rating. which results in a higher or loer tip temperature which is then related to detonation, pre-ignition etc... now if the length of the plug into the cylinder is in fact too large then yes there could be some big problems.

I'm really worried about the burnt smell after i removed the spark cable..!
