Where do you find the Transmission badgings on the Trany ???

im looking at my trany , and im trying to figure out if its a Type R or GSR trany, and i believe the type R is the s80 and the GSR is y80 ? not sure though ?

bump , anyone know where the badgings are on a honda trany ????

i found it, kinda easy i cant believe i never saw it before, jus look right in the hood on the trany and there is a big bar code right above it it says S80

yep.. type r, GSR and LS all use y80 and s80.. if its a type r tranny it'll most likely have an LSD stamp on it

where would i see that stamp ?

on the tranny case... it should be easily visible if its there

from looking in the engine bay , or from under neath

no i pulled the pic of ebay.. see the little ebay icon they put on pics...

if there is a stamp, you should see it when looking at your barcode
