Im helping my freind rebuild his b16 and hes lookin into a stroker kit. Crower makes one that puts out a 2.0 but its around 2300 bucks or somethin like that. Any suggestions? We wanna get 200+ to the wheels. It is his daily driver, he just blew the motor and plans on rebuilding it instead of a swap. What do you guys think?
 
that's a lot of money for ~200whp. Like most everyone here will tell DIY turbo set up will be ~1500 and offer a lot more potential.
 
Well the motor has to be rebuilt anyways so we figured we might as well put somethin good in there. I asked him before all this if he wanted to turbo it and he said NA is badass lol. Personally im puttin a turbo in mine once i have enough saved. But so would he be better off just puttin a swap in there or is there a cheaper way for a reliable NA 200whp setup?
 
I'd look into a mildly built up h22 swap
 
with higher comp better flow you could come close. or ls/crvtec it. an ls with killer cams head work b16 internals thin hg and a few other things can get you in to the 170-180whp range so with the b16 head you might get there for 2300+what ever you get for the block
