Um, isn't Killington in VT? My grandmother use to live like ten minutes from Killington. I have skied it a bit. Now she lives ten minutes from Okemo. Haven't hit that up yet though.

I went to whiteface last January. The place is epic, and because we had a lot of snow when I was there, I'd put it on par with the skiing experience out west. I wouldn't recommend the place for beginners as the terrain is very steep and the few intermediate trails got skied off. They added a bunch of trails this year; I can't wait to make it back.

I went to Whiteface last year too. Also after a decent snow fall. Scraped ice ONE time. And it was my fault. But it is pretty intense. Best fall of the day was tumbling about 100ft. down a diamond trail I had been ripping up all day.

Where is this place?

Im kind of pissed, I got my board from my friends house yesterday and I forgot I broke a binding last year. Time for some Burton customs I guess.

Whiteface is in Lake Placid, NY. Awesome mountain surrounded by brew pubs that brew great beer. I wish I could live in a Lake Placid winter forever.

So, good boarding and good beer? Hmm I know where Im going for my 21st.:D
I need so few things for my eternity. Haha... Maybe a girl too, but that could complicate things. OK so Lake Placid in winter with a girl who I could send away if I so felt. There... that's my perfect eternity.

Its a little off the beaten path if your coming from NE Ohio. It took me 8-9 hours to get there. Was totally worth it IMO even for just 2 days of skiing.

I boarded one day from EARLY Sat. am arrival(like 3am) until a late Sun. pm departure. Awesome time. Then again, I was like Frank in Old Skool, everyone knew I had a great time. That, plus fireworks. The phrase said most over the weekend was, "I'm not driving to the hospital". Still didn't stop us from anything. Including a roman candle fight which we later discovered we did right next to the propane tank.

Ugh, I'm so sad. I used to board but haven't the past 2 years. I bought a board, bag, boots and bindings off a buddy for $40, I can't honestly even remember the brand, it was a decent one but not someone I had heard of. Anyway, my plan was to go this winter since I'll have vaca time starting January, but my board is gone.

Speaking of which, I guess that means I need a new board. Thinking about CCS, used to get a lot of skate stuff with them before I boarded, but I never paid much attention to their snow gear. Anyone know of a better place?

Well Mountain Creek was a big cock tease. I bought my season pass assuming they would get 2" and the price would go up. They got just under that while Mt. Olive got almost foot. I thought the season was going to open early but now looks like it will be right of schedule. Damn it. It's like a girl asking if you have a condom then saying she "just can't do it" once your dick is wrapped.

I got "last year's model" at a local ski shop. Saved me a ton. And I've been riding it for at least 4 or 5 years now.

:(

I'll have to check some out. I guess now I just need to find some local ski shops, which might be hard considering I live in Pittsburgh.

new board purchasers be aware, some resorts are banning boards that are too graphic (nudity)
i prefer when resorts just ban snowboarders in general, lol

Don't know how I missed this thread.

I get a pass to the Wisp in MD if anyone else goes. We always have 5-10 people and stay every weekend.

Seven Springs just has too many people for it to be fun.

Rome Crail 153
Technine Team 2 desert storm bindings
DC scout boa
Random Burton/Special blend/Grenade gear

Though I'd love to ride the Skate Banana this year, but I just lost my job, so no new board for me ;/.
