well a d16 is 32in wide 31 if i cut the crank pully on a 1.d down to the alternator only and the engine bay is only 27in wide and there is all so a clearance issue with the back side of the trans where the diffis and the intake manifold and exhaust would all have to be custom no big deal there
this looks like the beginnings of a sweet go-kart. that is, if you decide to swap in something else.

His is a cvcc. Not a 600.

funny you say that my friends and i have considered making it a real rc car. I have a friend whos dad is a robotics enginer and you l love to do this it still may happen after i get ir running
here are some pics of what i did tonight
look at the tiny engine
jumbo flywheel held in with 6 6mm bolts (10mm head)
huge clutch appears to have been having trouble holding all 32hp
side cover removed chain conecting engine to trans/flywheel
got bored with taking engine apart as im to anal and didnt have any one to bag and label parts. So this is what i did
just need 3in on this side
cuting off ac ribs in the morning at work

Scratching head i think that i might have some thing to work with here
needside clearnace to come up 8in
bringing engine up will make oil pan flush with bottom of the car.
i would have to get creative on the alternator and make custom intake and exhaust manifolds no problem there as i have a tig welder at work. I think that this is the way im going to go with this project. but still unsure what you all think a 1.5l with zc pistons and a y8 head runing on AEM

Motorcycle engines are the way to go with a car that small/light.
