91 CRX Occasional Jerking in First Gear

Hi,

I have a problem with a stock 91 CRX HF I just purchased. After disengaging the clutch and accelerating in first gear the car will begin to jerk. The more gas I give it the more violent this jerk gets. Once I engage the clutch it stops. This only happens about 35% of the time and only in first gear, wether idle or accelerating to shift into 2nd. If I release the clutch super slow, while increasing my RPM's to 2K I can get the jerking to go away but at the same time the car will nearly stall.

At first I thought clutch, but after doing some reading on the forum I realized that it might be a motor mount.

Any more insight to my problem would be much appreciated?

Probably worn torque mounts. My brother's car did this when we didn't install the two torque mounts on his 93 Civic(not to mention his rear mount was pretty beat up). My 92 Accord does this a little(worn mounts).

On my Civic and CRX I got rid of my front torque mount(due to aftermarket front crossmember) and used Energy Suspension mount insert on the rear torque mount. It vibrates a little more but not very noticeably and never had any jerking issues.

Ok, so I found the front motor mount to be completely shot. I replaced it but the problem is still persists.
Any other thoughts?
Anyone?

Did you check the rear mount? I didn't think about this earlier; but maybe worn suspension bushings too?

Both the rear and the side appear to be intact, but I might replace them. I will check the suspension bushings first.
