DA lsvtec help!!!

Ok so im new to all this, I blew my head gasket on my DA ls. So since im taking my head off any way i went on getting a gsr head but my problem is my intake mani wont bolt up to the gsr head. do i get a gsr mani? and if i do how will the vaccums work on the gsr mani to the car now? need help please!!!

There are a few aftermarket manifolds out there for this type of swap. Skunk2 Pro Black Series Intake Manifold GSR - JHPUSA IMO I would not buy a stock GSR intake setup go after market. You should be able to figure out the vacuum hoses without much effort. With a manifold like this should be pretty plug and play. At least it was when I put a GSR head on my B16. May have to extend a hose or two but nothing major. You will also need a Vtec ecu and wiring. Good luck on you project.

There is a little more to it then just putting a gsr head on a ls block. Head has to be tapped for the oil port and so on. U will need a golden eagle ls vtec kit. Pretty much explains how to do it and comes with most if not all things needed. And u have to use a gsr intake mani. Aftermarket. Or stock. Whichever u can afford.

U won't want to rev very high either cuz the stock rod bolts on the LS rods r weak and cannot take the high rpms of the gsr capabilities. That's why a lot of ppl blow their motor. I've had 2 friends think they could get away with it and both blew their motor in a couple weeks.

This is what I followed. The only thing I did different is i don't have anything after market besides Eagle H beam rods, and I guess ACL bearings. Wished i could have bumped up the cams, but didn't have the money haha

Thanks guys and sorry it took me awhile to reply, I figured it out, just had to delete a few vaccum lines. I ended up getting a blox mani which made it a whole lot easier then the stock gsr. But now I ran to another problem, I got everything pretty much done put when I connected the p28 it has a engine code on, not sure why but only with the p28. If I run stock ecu there is no cel. What am i missing???? I drove it just to see if vtec works but it does'nt kick in. Do I have to chip the ecu for the engine light to be remove? Please help if you done this before thanks!

Did you just plug in a stock P28? That should work great...for running a D16Z6. If you're running a modded LS/VTEC, then yes, you'll want to get it chipped for optimal performance...
