first: i tried searching and couldn't find it

i want the skunk 2 p28 (or similar) ecu with earlier vtec engagement and better fuel and spark curves but i was wondering if this was a smart idea because i would have to convert to obd 1. is this a good idea. if so should i ebay the obd2 to obd1 conversion harness.

obviously im really new to hondas so thanks for the help

converting to obd1 is a smart idea (provided its legal in your state/regioin) for performance.

the skunk2 chip, and all the other INSERT PROGRAM HERE chips however, ares worthless.
90% of the time, earlier vtec will loose you horsepower.

Ecu mods should compliment engine mods. So what have you done to your motor?

+1

Never, never, EVER put a chip in that isn't tuned for your vehicle. If you have a stock motor, you need to run a stock ECU program. 'Stock motor' includes I/H/E and other basic boltons. If you have mods done to your motor, such as cams, pistons, F/I, then you need a program that is tuned specifically for your car.

wow! im definetly glad i asked then because all i really have so far is I/H/E and lightweight fly wheel and clutch. ill keep my stock ecu then unless i decide to do internals. thanks for the help

I own a stock B16a5 automatic SiR. What possible mods should I be looking at to increase performance. I was thinking of a chip. I don't plan on doing anything internal yet.
