i will be going to college next year, and i dont want anyone messing with my car, i would like one of the remotes that rumbles when someone messes with it, and just an overall good alarm, money is no matter as long as it protects my car, college is a bad place for a nice car and i really dont want to lose mine, any advice on the brand or what alarm would be great, thanks

Directed Electronics – Vehicle Security | Mobile Video | Home Audio | Satellite Radio <<<Directed Electronics website(Clifford, Viper)

These guys have some of not only the best, longest-lasting systems but the most seamless interface pieces for whatever you might be installing. Having done it for 8 years now, I've had a chance to work on a lot of different security platforms. When Directed bought out Clifford Electronics, I knew that the company would only get better. Trust me, if you want an alarm that with the right install and the right setup will give you the most trouble-free use, go with a Viper. Hey you could even get the little "Knight Rider" voice module^_^
"PROTECTED BY VIPER, STAND BACK"

Beauty oif this website is that you can pretty much get all the info you need and if you can't find it there you can phone and talk to a real, live person who actually knows what the hell they're talking about.

It's also kinda nifty that you can order the stuff right off the web .

Hope this gives you a little bit of a helping hand;)

thanks guys, i dont want my car to get jacked so im def investing in this

A great idea that a buddy of mine at school did to his Evo VIII was put like five alarm sirens on the inside of his car, and wire them all (with relays, so as to not overload the siren power wire) to his alarm. When his alarm goes off, inside the car it is fucking LOUD as shit...literally you CANNOT sit in the car for more than 3 or 4 seconds tops...

just an idea :)

might i suggest a battery backup also, they r cheap and a good idea incase someone happens to cut your batterycable.

Good call!!!!!!......good call;)

How in VTEC's name did I forget something as simple but effective as that?!
Must be all the fiberglass fumes.

Yea Id have to agree with them, just make sure you get a battery back up, like they said its very important.

:werd:
battery backup, good DEI system. If money isn't an issue, then you can either get a 2 way pager system, for when you are close, or go even more expensive and lojack it.

Also, I'd get a starter kill, possible fuel pump kill, and several piezo sirens.

buy some hella air horns and wore them to the horn circuit it is guaranted to make some noise and make people look

For school I recommend getting the 2way alarm. Either the clifford or viper. Add the gps tracking. And have it installed properly and you have a winning combo. With the gps tracking you can have it set up that it calls your cell phone or pager to alter you that your car has been violated or stolen. The 2-way may not be in range all the time. It has saved me and my customers many of times. Here a pics of the unit. I will not show pictures of the acutal unit because of thives.

The gps comes with a built in back-up battery for itself. And is 97% effective for getting your car back if installed properly. Not just thrown under the dash. Plus you can track the car in real time with the gps. With lo-jack you can not.

Here are some faq for you to look at.
