so i have a 89 ef hatch with the d15b2 and i went from dual point injection to multi point injection and it runs funny and sounds like a lawnmower i was wondering i swapped ecu's and did the right wiring the only thing i didnt do was swap the fuel pump could that have anything to do with it?

The fuel pump only supplies as much as its supposed to. Once you reach the fuel pumps max velocity it wont provide anymore fuel. No matter what the ECU is telling it to do.

i wish i would have found this forum before i did i got the multi point off of a d16 crx i have so im gonna go take the fuel pump off any idea on how long that will take to swap out?

does any body know if the crx fuel pump will plug right into the ef hatch it a zc fuel pump

it sould take about an hour to take the pump out of the tank
and an hout to put it in
just be carfull.patient and do it rite

The fuel pump wouldn't make a difference, there the same. I have done many mpfi swaps and never had a fuel pump be a problem.

check your injector and dizzy wiring its not the fuel pump

jeez i hate stupid people:angry:

Just a thought, but did you happen to replace the intake gasket for a new one? If you leak coolant into the cylinder it will make it run like a bag of ass.

no you cant keep the dualpoint dizzy why are people so stupid and give out false info a dpfi to mpfi swap should only take a brother about 2 hr max and that is doing it right do your research and if you dont know what you are talking about from first hand experience SHUTUP:chair:
