oh no it's not that all of them are like this, it's that the fact that any of them are is mind blowing.
Look at it in reverse context, if there was a pro war rally going on an a small group of people were holding up signs that said "Fuck Sand Niggers" (I'm sorry if that's abrasive and I want to be clear that I'm using this in context) and were burning Iranian Flags and life sized dolls dressed up to look like Arabian Men I doubt anyone would say "Oh that's just a small group of people, don't overreact"
once you think about it in that context and then consider these aren't foreign people they're referring to but our own brother and sister it becomes even more angering IMO

This group of people that we see here are about 3 times as large as the Religious groups that protested Military Funerals. All the time Liberal sources were pigeonholing that Religious group as a Right-Wing group.
There were 12 people in that group that protested funerals.
I count about 4 people here that are protesting Military personnel.
My Complaint:
This is an obviously Left-wing group in these pictures. The Religious nutbags were NOT Right-wing, but were lumped in as Right-Wing because of their claim to Faith.

well, just as the republicans have their own extemists, it would play out equally. i'm not saying don't over-react, i'm saying that it's cause for concern. people are sheep. the more who believe anything... the more will fall for anything. 'Believe in nothing, fall for anything' is really what it is saying. Now, I'm sure that people would surely be offended either way. As an American I'm not happy with it. As someone who supports the troops, I don't even see how the message they are attempting convey is being read correctly, or if that's what they truly mean, then that's just sad. But... if your example were to play out... I'm sure it would get the same attention.
I'm anti-"this" war but I support the troops to the fullest, a lot of my friends are in the military. If I saw this demonstration I might throw a few punches.

Don't have to name one in particular... these people in the pic don't have names... so, I'm calling the people standing outside planned parenthood extremists. I walked in for my appointment (let's leave it at that please) and was told that I would be better off taking a rusty coat hanger and manually pulling out the fetus of my unborn child so at least I was responsible for killing it so I would personally go to hell for my sins. I wasn't pregnant.

They are going against something specific, Anti-abortion. That can be inspired either religiously or politically (Although I doubt these people show also show up pro-gun rallies, Pro-war rallies, Clinton protests, CAIR protests and break into offices of prominent left-wing politicians) But I'll go along with your mis-understanding and even call them "Conservatives".
Lets compare that number to the number of people that protest the war, threaten to kill bush, mother-fuck everything that the white house does, protest National Conventions, and call for Attorney General's heads on a platter. (These are ALL political maneuvers)
The number of extreme leftists (And violent leftists) are far more than Violent (And remember.. I don't accept that anti-abortion protests are Political in nature) conservatives.
Conservatives protest in the form of votes, legislature and writing. Liberals just scream louder.

Both 'sides' have their fair share of nutjobs, and both have their down to earth common sense people. In pretty even numbers, I'd think.As for the troops, I of course respect the soldiers themselves, but I'm not down with the whole glorification of the military thing that's gotten really big lately. They're on the level of firefighters, policemen, surgeons, anyone who saves or protects lives. A fine level of respect, but no higher, no lower.
The people burning soldier effigies are saying that it's a soldiers responsibility to not blindly follow a superiors' unethical order and that he has to interpret it properly, but it's not so cut and dry as that when you're out in the field. The soldiers need saving from their command structure, they don't need to be attacked.

its gone now, but if i remember right, all the people in the pics were kids. i bet its a bunch of college students that are trying to recreate their vietnam for the history books......cept the current war is nothing like vietnam....i think thats where they missed the point.

the whole nation has missed the point. There is no "Iraq War", that ended in 2003. There is a war with Al Qaeda that happens to be IN Iraq, and when you accept the conflict in it's reality you see why we MUST win.
