and we kill more people by 7AM then some Air Forces do all day

True, but your life is never in actual danger. . .thats the difference between you and the guys who are slugging it out on the ground.

That is all phyregod was getting at w/his topic. The Airforce is for white collar people who are not capable of performing the demanding physical tasks of the Marines and Army.

If the armed forces of the United States of America were all pencil-necked midgets like yourself, we would not be able to enjoy the freedom and prosperity we do today.

Its because of people with AhhVtec's attitude that we are as prosperous as we are now. If he is capable of kicking some serious ass for the USA, then why would you want to discourage him?
that is the most ignorant statement i have seen on hondaswap in the 4 1/2 years i've been a member. you obviously dont understand the military, military cops, or what is going on in the war. i wont say what i really have to say, but don't comment on something you know nothing about. and you know nothing about this.
well yes the main reason for wanting to be a mp, is thats what im gona do in the in normal life is a cop hopefully, thats the reason i ask to get more knowledge, about all this thnaks guys + rep
if you want to be a cop, the military wont do much for you, especially if you join one of the other branches other than the air force. mp/sp ARE NOT COPS. not by the traditional sense. THEY ARE SECURITY. hence "security" forces. there are a lot of methods of becoming a civilian police officer and the army has nothing to do with it.

<-----was in the army for almost 1 year...until they kicked me out...

fuck the military. We figured it out...it's like 28 cents an hour. 24 hours a day. I was ripped though. Join a gym and get a better job. You'll be happier you didnt.

why did u get kicked out

My step dad died and my mom was pregnant and got depressed. They wouldn't give me leave to go see her and try and cheer her up or get her some help, so I left.

i thought you couldnt just up and leve, i thought you had to get kicked out for a reason

lol I came back...then they kicked me out. It was a general discharge. You know when you sign up, you're govt property, right? They give you a shitload of shots when you get to basic training. They don't tell you what it is, but I haven't been sick since 2001...

i mean how can you just leve and not go to jail or something

it's pretty common. if you are within your first year or so, they send you through a bunch of bullshit. they actually work hard to keep you IN. they only put you in jail if you are a danger to others or you actually commit a crime. leaving isn't really a crime.

so in other words if you join the army and you dont like it lets say less than a year down the road you can just say naa its not for me and go home/ quit

well, it's not really that easy. they make it a pain in the ass for you. why are you wanting to go in? it's pretty random to just up and join the army.

if i had it to do all over again, i would join the reserves. get free training, free school, and have a weekend job.

well my dad granddad and greatgranddad was all in the army, ive always kinda wanted to join but i spent the first part of my life partying and spending hela money on cars,.like a dumb ass,. i realy dont have a good answer to that beside i just feel the need to

well man, the army is a lot different than your dad's and grandfather's army.

do this test. walk into an army recruiter. tell them you want to join. see how they treat you. they will give you the golden pass. tell you it's great. anything to get you to join. they will promise you this, that and the third. I know because I talked to them before I joined the Air Force. I also talked to the Navy.

The Air Force were the only ones to treat me with respect. Plus, the air force has a whole different level of intelligence. The marines and army are generally just plain stupid. they have a lot lower admission standards and requirements.

if you are just hanging out and don't have shit to do, go have fun. If you are getting in legal trouble, can't read, or have 5 kids, join the army. just my .02.

lol naa no kids, dont drink or smoke no legal trouble, to be honest without sounding like a dick i have it made perty much i have my own house with about 11 acres of land sevral cars and a smoking hot g/f of 5 years., but i have just felt like i should join for the past year or so

well, i get the feeling i should rejoin and do something special. but it will be in vain. the army wont appreciate you, you'll regret it, you'll miss your gf, you wont have a good career when you get out, you wont get paid shit, you'll be in the desert getting shot at, you'll be surrounded by idiots.

that should help put it into perspective.

thanks man + rep

it's all good. there used to be a lot of military guys on here. i'm not sure where they all went.

if you were 18 and getting into a lot of trouble, i would say do it. but you sound like you have your shit together and don't need it. i look at the military as a bail out. unless you have your degree. if you do, then you could be a pilot.

I hate it when people say the army is stupid, i was in reserves joined my senior year of highschool under the D E P. I scored 96 on my ASVAB. Wish i had a little more sence back then I could have had most any job I want in the military

That was my frist post with my new sn.. my old sn was civiconroids... I had the rhd EG a long time ago.. maybe 5 years ago or so on here...

I spent 18 months in Baghdad, it was the best and the worst time in my life.. And i was just national guard.. Join the National Guard and you will be deployed to Iraq or afghanistan...

But i realized and learned alot.. Just realize the military isnt for everyone..
