help BIG problem with injectors

ok i have a 92 civic with a b18 in it. it has the stock injectors. the other day i was driving home and for some reason my car died. pulled over to see what was going on. well the point is for some reason the number 4 injector is pumping too much gas on the cilinder and it is comign out of the header. and kept filing the piston to the top. ok did comprestion test motor is still good. but runs like shit now. car use to run great. i have a chiped pr4 ecu. changed it to the stock 92 civic one and it still runs the same any cules.???? thanks

changed the injector. and it stoped spraying gas every were.but ran like shit. went back to old injector and stoped spraying like it did. but still running like shit.

check your fuel pressure regulator thats whats your problem sounds like do you have a stock regulator or an after market one

sounds like your stock one has gone bad i would try another one to see if that helps you problem out or move on to a stock one with a fuel pressure guage

I would check the fuel pressure before going and throwing parts at it without testing anything.

You need a fuel pressure gauge. If you don't have one, and you have an Autozone nearby, you can borrow one for free there by leaving a deposit.

Which B18 do you have? The B18C is 45 lbs.

Not sure the GSR is the only one I know off the top of my head. It should be somewhere around 36 I think, but go get a service manual if you need to know exactly.

have you checked the plug in that cylinder to see if you fowled it. I don't think its the pressure because pressure doesn't normally rise it normally falls. when you say your engines running like crap what exactly do you mean? is it making any strange sounds?? if so what kind? Is there any smoke out the tailpipe? how about your cam seal anything coming out of there? When you flood a cylinder during operation, depending on how much flooding occurs you can do some serious damage. compressing a liquid is definitely harder than compressing a gas mixture. I know it might sound funny but its not out of the realm of possibility that you could have warped your head depending on how long you drove the car with the engine like that

I've seen a lot more FPR problems causing high pressure and flooding cylinders than the other way around personally. However, it should cause a problem in more than 1 cylinder and I don't think that's the problem in this particular situation either.

Warping the head probably is not an issue as that usually only occurs from excessive engine temperatures. Compressing a liquid in a cylinder isn't possible which is why people end up with holes in their block when they hydrolock their engines and try to start them when they're full of water.

Unfortunately there really isn't enough information from the OP to even attempt to diagnose the problem beyond what's already been said.

35-39 psi with the vacuum to the regulator disconnected and 41-45 psi with the vacuum on.
