Well i bought this car about 6 months ago because it had absolutely no body damage and ive never really saw one for sell that didn't have some sort of damage. I got it home and after a few days of driving i saw it was overheating a little bit. I know how much driving it like that could damage it so i parked it and towed it to a mechanic and got it all taken care of. I also replaced the clutch, added two Rockford component speakers, and two 10' Rockford subs with a 250 watt amp. Since i fixed it i kinda didn't want to drive it anymore and wanted to sell it to someone who could appreciate it.

It has 162,000 miles, and like i said the body is great, theres a tiny bit of rust in the rear wheel wells but not much at all. The person i bought it from put fresh paint on it. Ill email pics to any potential buyers. ill have them ready tomorrow (1/25/08)

I'm asking 1400, pretty firm but ill lower it if someone is going to travel far for it.

There is one thing wrong with it. It starts kind of weird. You have to give it gas for about 30 seconds while it warms up. The mechanic was suppose to fix it, he said it was a relay switch that needed cleaning. When i went to pick it up he said that once you give it gas for a bit its fine and it was no big deal. I guess because its so old and i don't really drive it much.

The Ac worked when i took it to the mechanic, and didn't work when i got it back. I asked him to replace the thermostat, but when i got it back the one i bought was still in the box. So im thinking he may have just taken it out completely. Regardless it doesn't overheat now and i know the ac does work quite well. Anyone that knows hondas could fix it quite easy since it can only be the thermostat that messed up the ac. The mechanics here are quite lazy and only do what they have to.

My name is Kevin im 19 and am going to school for criminal justice .

Im working as a dispatcher while they pay for my school.

Going to school for criminal justice huh? I'd imagine the rediculous price of $1400 for an 86 HF w/ 162,xxx miles, that over-heats, doesn't idle in the cold (carbs), and has " a little rust " would be to help pay for school, no?( must be a UofR student ) Come down on the price and up load some pics to the site and you will probally get more hits on it. By the way, "mechanics here" wouldn't be refering to all the mechanics in VA would it??
