Help on choosing a header!

Okay I have been searching through, yes you guessed it...ebay! For hours and hours trying to scope through the mostly all junk headers that are offered. eBay Motors: Honda Civic Header stainless steel exhaust manifold (item 200215307019 end time Apr-20-08 15:56:44 PDT) This is what I'm leaning towards, looking past the girl groping the headers , does anyone have any experience with this seller or these headers? His feedback looks very respectable and he does a great job covering the headers description, also all he deals is headers. He also has a two year warranty, and he seems to be very confident on the quality. I know some people are bound to read this and condemned these headers to hell just because they are sold on ebay, I'm not some kid rice'n his ride with autozone specials and tell all your friends those are JDM parts, and wild whale tails and crap. All that aside I'm looking at these for my 99 ex with a lightly built D16Y8 motor. It's my daily driver so I'm not looking on shelling out the bucks for a mugen or greddy setup, or making crap loads of power, Just something that will work with what I alreday have done to my car. I've seen alot of crapy headers, and these don't look like they fall in that category.

They "look" all right, but a header like that is just a header. It will look pretty, but may end up cracking. The price is all right. For the price, I'd say go for it. I would. It will "spruce" up your engine bay.

I like how they try to upsell it by inserting this:

I agree with you, the auction just ended and I didnt buy them so I guess its not ment to be! Anyways I think I'm just going to wait on the header and just hold back the cash for my turbo setup. I don't like the idea of putting trashy parts on my car at all. She looks good and sounds like a civic should, no bags of farts!, so I think I'll hold off. Does anyone know were I can find a good reasonably priced intercooler?

Meh, I'd probably spend a few more bucks myself and at least get a set of Megan headers. If you're only spending $40 on a header it's probably not the greatest quality piece. I've heard stories of people being satisfied with cheap-o E-Bay headers and not having any problems, but I've also heard (and seen) of plenty of them cracking and having shitty gaskets that don't seal properly.

That's what I know. It's up to you whether you want to take the risk...

Never mind my previous post, I see that you've already changed your mind.

On a side note though, I'd probably do a bunch of research and plan out my turbo build very extensively before even thinking about buying any parts...

I have, a whole bunch all I need is my intercooler and turbo manifold. It's been about a year and a half in the making, and I'm almost done! I'll post some pics later.

just get a ebay intercooler they hold up fine

Had some extra money burning a hole in my pocket, There's a car show in my town this weekend and I wanted to slap a header on it for eye candy. Then I was going to take it off, but I decided I would keep it on until I hook up my turbo setup. So I was curious as to the quality of the header I listed above.

Well if it's just a temporary thing then the one above is probably fine. Long term though I'd put a few more bucks into it...

Well I kinda wanted to keep it around unitl I hook everything up. I'm not in any rush to get my turbo on becuase like you said, plan it out, and I'm making sure everything is going to function EXACTLY how it should and serve it's purpose. Do it right the first time, I don't like cutting corners on things such as this, so I'm being a freak making sure everything is perfect. On the header note you mentioned the meagn headers, that was my original choice. Are they worth the money? I have never seen a pair.
