Is it possible to Swap a SOHC head for a DOHC head to make a 1990 Honda CRX HF D15B6 1.5L DOHC?? If anyone has tried please let me know. The suspense is killing me. I just need to know before I purchase a DOHC head to try. It seems like doing this would increase the HP and Torq output of my kina...
I wouldn't call myself a mechanic, but I can turn a wrench. don't sell some one short for asking questions. Myself I am used to working on Chevy small Block engines, and they are VERRY different ( in mechanics ) but still quite simmular, They both use pluge to ignite...... My point is be casual...
I already have an SI Tranny in it. The factory tranny went out and it was the only replacement I could get, lucky me. and I am currently trying to get this other CRX Si that has title issues for parts, but I would like to know what car did the DOHC ZC engine come out factory in, and what liter...
on another note my hf already has a K&N Airfilter and a set of 17 in Racing Wheels. but it is not enough I have already been looking at a baffeled tip muffler for it and or a cat black exuast system.
Just because I an new to tuners does not mean i am new to custom vehicals. I have had many modified lowriders with more engine then needed. I just am new to imports. It shouldn't be assumed that if someone asks questions and is honest about not knowing everything about engines, that this would...

Try the title. Mine is an HF and it has a 1.5L 4cycl that has D15B6 on the block. of course my transmission is out of a different crx and I believe it came out of an SI. So I have an HF with an SI transmission.
I have a 1990 CRX HF also. I am wanting to convert mine to a DOHC. If i understand correctly I can get pretty much everything I need from a wrecked newer model civic DOHC. Everything I have read leads me to believe that if you do the same you won't regret it.
I am new to the tuner concepct and I am looking to beef up my 1990 Honda CRX HF but I am at a lost. it has the d15b6 engine in it. I am planning on later doing a body and suspension mod but I am at a lost as for the motor. I don't know if I should just keep the motor in it or swap. I do know...
