Have you checked the lost motion assembly if those are not moving freely, vtec will not work properly. Have you cleaned the selenoid. You know simply checking if the selenoid is clicking on and off is not enough, you need to see if power is getting to it when at operating temprature. Use a power...
did you try using one of the y8 bolts. Thats what I did when I swithched heads and it worked. Its a good idea to use thread locker. Anyway I gained absolutely nothing from doing that conversion the heads are pretty much the same except for the combustion chamber and that gains you very little...
I have a set of ZC high compression pistons that I pulled from my z6 block. They are in good condition I bought the pistons new and put my rods in them. These are 75mm pistons that fit in most d16 and d15 engines and can get you much higher compression ratio than stock depending on your...
Your distributor must be modified or something because I have done that swap before and the distributor from the y8 pluged right into my harness. I had a 94 Dx with the harness modified for vtec I dropped in a y8 in it everything plugged right in. As for you ecu question, I've never heard about...
What? If you are asking if your y8 distridutor will work with the z6 head, the answer is yes and no. It will plug into the whole and even run the engine but the mounting point are different so you need to either modify th mounts or just use the one from the z6. Hope that helps
Someone correct...
I definetly want to do this ASAP so that I can finish my build. what do you have from your turbo that you wanna trade. The only thing I really need for the turbo is the oil lines. Let me know what you wanna do

when you tap the bearing cap assembly, tap it back and forth from side to side until it loosens up then wiggle it out. You are probably not using enough force since you are using a rubber malet the risk of breaking the caps are reduced so tap it a little harder.
