Well i disconnected the crank sensor wiring from the dizzy, and the car starts up and dies right away, just like before. Does this mean a bad sensor? Bad wiring? Please help!
I'm pretty sure, all you have to do is get and H2B kit and slap it on the tranny. And of course get the usual mounts for the H-series in an EK. I have NEVER seen and H2B kit....
Some more MPFI help! NEW PROBLEM!
So i decided to swap out the OBD2 internals for OBD1 internals. Now the car doesn't even turn over. It'll start for a second, then automatically die. Even if i give it gas. It'll run for about a minute with the PM5 ecu. But won't run with the PM6 or PR4. Anyone...
I thought the same thing. I believe when the guy did the swap, he had taken in off in order to run the stock PM5 dizzy, and dual point. Is there anyway i can get a new one from and OBD2 motor, and then just wire it up? What would be my best bet?
Y7 is non-Vtec. I think he means a Z6 or Y8 head. P28 is always a good choice. But yes, you'll have to do an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness, if your going to use the P28. The only thing you really have to wire up is Vtec.
All plugs and everything should be the same. Unless your Dual Point. Then you'll have to do a DPFI to MPFI swap. With the swap you can use a PM6, PG7 or the best PM7.
Y7 is non-vtec. I think he means Z6 or Y8. The P28 is a fine choice of computer. Other than that, if your gonna use the P28 you'll have to get an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness. Then all you'll have to do is wire up for Vtec i believe.
So i just finished up my MPFI swap on my 90' Civic LX. The motor is a D16Y7 that i bought from a buddy that had the stock PM5 dual point manifold on it. So i did the MPFI swap on it. But i have ran into a problem. My computer is running in limp mode, and flashing a code 4 (crank sensor)...
