    Loud whistle at half throttle?

    Same whistle here... at arround 25% throttle. It's just air whistling as it's sucked in thru throttle body. It ain't that loud either... so I don't car about little whistling sometimes :D

    Yesterday finally completed my B16A2 swap. Donor engine is B16A2, OBD1, car put into '97 Civic (6th gen). Previous engine -> turbocharged D14A4 1st problem was my wiring harness -> OBD2 that I had needed to be replaced, since D14 has some weird wiring (firing injectors in paris, ECU connectors...

    Battery drain?

    Well, as was yesterday installing alarm back into my car, I noticed something weird. When I recconect ground on battery, a little spark goes off (from current). When car is shut off, there is still ~95mA power drain. To me this seems kindof excessive. Has anyone else measured how much drain...

    It can work if you do it the hard way -> OBD1 ECU, OBD1 plugs, dizzy, etc.. OBD1 engine wire harness, OBD1 underdash+underhood fusebox. After that you have lots of rewiring to connect dashboard, and everything else (lighs, turn signals, etc, etc....). Do yourself a favour, get OBD2 dizzy, and...

    potentially severe problem!!

    Shift into 2nd, and accelerate.. than slow down, and shift into 1st, rev to some 7000rpm, and let go of throttle (so it slows down in 1st gear). When is grinding more noticable? On acceleration, or decelaration (while in 1st gear)?

    dpfi to mpfi swap problems

    Yep.. ICU is plugged into underdash fusebox (it's a box like .. well.. box, and has one connector plugged into it - white one, pins in one row). You might try to swap it with some friend to see if that's the problem. It's easy - plug'n'play.

    Well, as recently did my swap, I also swapped out wire harness during that mechanic cut off wires of my alarm. I have Cobra Globe 3193 (3100 series). When I bought it, it was installed at a shop here in Croatia, and for manual I only received localised user guide, which doesn't say anything...

    Yeah, keep aluminum tube, since air in he 'back' of engine is hot. Hot air = less power.

    Well, I guess I could write a write-up on how&what I did for swap :) But first I want to end my car completely, than I can do wrute-up. Although I have connected 99% of everyhting, my car is still in garage, due to missing rear engine mount. I 'should' get it on friday. We'll see. Over weekend...

    I have '97 Honda Civic 1.4iS (D14A4 engine, P3Y OBD2 ECU). 'New' engine is B16A2, OBD1, P30 ECU. Problem: My OBD2 ECU has weird pinout. Between other things, fires injectors in pairs, has only 2 connectors, which resemble OBD1 type, but are OBD2... etc, etc. So.. I cannot use OBD2->OBD1...
