Right, what about the specs of a JDM vtec-e engine ? Would it be the same as its USDM counterparts ? i`m almost sure this engine has got the same block and pistons as a d15b vtec or 3 stage d15b ..anyone ?
nonetheless i really wanna get to the bottom of this problem, why on earth do i get no c.e.l when i unplugg the the 02 sensor
You wont get a cel by just unplugging the connector and checkin the ecu for codes ... you actually have to run the car a few yards, then do the cel procedure.
i`m curious .. If you have a standard d15b (92ps) ... and change the cylinderhead with a jdm d15b vtec, complete with dizzy etc... Will this turn the engine into a a similar jdm 130bhp version ? (obviously running propper vtec wiring and ecu)
Does the block have to do with the mod too or not ...
HAHA ..yeah thats true. WELL you know it is kinda wierd trying to fit an STi steering to a civic, with all those aftermarket steerings you find incl. Momo yes hosmer ... but donno i wish i could know if they do really fit.
They are both japs .. but hell i donno
Look at this Subaru Steering :

Now my question is does anyone of you know if you can fit one of these into a civic ? Dont know if it fits, but if it does, it would be damn sexy
(Looks very much like an Ek type-r steering ...
Yep the p28 needs a 4 wire.
I tried looking for a p08 but invain. Hoever the 4 wire o2 shouldnt be a prob.
Basically my only concern is regarding the stock p28 running the d15b rich or something ... thats all.
I am gonna use uberdata in the future, but not in the immediate future.
Just wanna...
To run a jdm d15b vtec , the best ecu for that engine is a p08, that i know.
However i couldnt get hold of it, and so got a p28 stock.
Now will this work fine stock ? i heared it runs rich ..or is it just an exageration ?
Ok guys .. i`m getting a 4 wire o2 for the p28.
However no one here gave me an answer about why the car wont rev over 4000 ... i`m only getting an o2 heater code, SOO that must be it ... but i never heared anyone say that a simple o2 heater code would make the ecu do this.
Anyone confirm or...
Yeah thats true most prob the sensor wont work as well without the heater connected (even though i think theoretically it would work, but maybe the readings would be sligtly off ) //..anyone wanna try :)
Thanks guys :)
Well hold on a sec.. on a 1 wire ecu (like some jdm ones) .. the only signal you need is the o2 sender wire (white i think).. no heater shit so ... basically i think you would be only using that wire and just forget all about the heater cause the ecu wont need it.
I `presume`a 4 wire sensor...
Haa .. finallly found a 4 wire O2.
Now my Q is ... if i re-swap my other ecu back in (the one that uses 1 wire O2 sensor) .. will this new 4 wire sensor work with it too just by ignoring the other 3 wires ? Or i have to re-swap back the 1 wire sensor i had ?
Hmmmm
Running a p28 with a sohc vtec motor.
Only code i`m getting is an o2 heater sensor code obviously cause my sohc uses a 1wire o2 sensor.
I was gonna get a 4 wire to match the p28 but i donno if the prob is coming from the o2 thing, and dont wanna buy a 4 wire o2 for nothing.
The prob:
The car...
So, as you might know on civics there`s only a place for a 45Amp battery.
I just changed mine and everything works great.
Replacing the battery with a bigger one is out of the question.
I noticed that the first time i started the car just after charging the battery .. it fired right off in 0.5...
